History of Infrastructure

Recently the President released his proposal for funding America’s infrastructure that calls for a $200 billion federal investment as part of a $1.5 trillion package that would be predominantly paid for by the states and private investment. While this is a good start to the conversation, federal investment must be more robust to provide the fixes and the certainty that we need. It short, Congress must act now to raise the gas tax and find other long-term user fees to help shore up the HTF shortage.
